Fights, restraints and the lock-up

Intents

As in SS13, what a click does to a person depends on your intent. Pick it with 1 to 4 or with the buttons by your hands:

KeyIntentClick someone to…
1Helpnudge them, help them up, shake them awake, untie them, or hold out what you hold
2Disarmshove them a step away. Into a wall, table or another person they go down for a moment and drop what they hold
3Grabtake hold of them (click again for a firm grip). Walk to drag them, click a seat or bed to sit them down in it, and press Q to let go
4Harmhit them with what you hold (or your fists)

F switches between help and harm. The body doll (or the numpad) aims your blows. A blow to the head hurts more, one to the arm can make them drop what they hold, and one to the leg can put them down.

Where you may fight

You can shove, grab and tie people anywhere. Harming another player only works off manor land and outside Reval: on a manor's land or in town, you're stopped.

Being hurt

Bruising heals over time, faster sitting or lying down. Too much and you're knocked out until you heal enough to wake. Nobody dies yet.

Rope and shackles

The steward sells rope (3 öre) and iron shackles (15 öre). Click someone with them to tie their hands. It's quicker if they're down or held fast. Tied hands can't use anything, and someone tied into a seat or bed can't get up.

Press B (Resist) to struggle out of a grip or to work at your bonds: half a minute for a rope, much longer for shackles. Anyone can untie you with the Help intent and an empty hand.

The lock-up

Every manor has a stone lock-up by the road (two cells behind iron-barred doors) and Reval has a town gaol. The cells are locked, and the steward keeps the keys. The bailiff, who will lock people up for theft and worse, comes in a later update. If you log off locked in a room you have no key for, the household lets you out by morning.
