Clothes and looks

How people look, what they wear, and how clothes keep out the cold.

As in SS13, everyone is a body in briefs with clothes, a beard, hair and a hat drawn on top, and what you hold shows in your hand. You choose your look when you make your character.

Skinpale, light, fair, weathered
Hairshort, long, tied, braids, bald
Hair colourblond, brown, dark, red, grey
Beardnone, stubble, moustache, short, full

Clothes

Clothes go in five slots: head, shirt, coat, legs and feet (click the small picture of yourself by your hands to see them). Hold clothes and press E to put them on; click a worn slot with an empty hand to take it off.

Warmth

At night you cool off outdoors (-3.5 a minute at full night) and slower indoors (-1); by day you warm up (+4), by a fire fast (+25), in bed slowly (+2). Clothes multiply the night's chill by 1.25 minus what they keep out, never below 0.3:

WearingChill
Only briefs×1.25
Shirt, breeches, pastlad (the starting clothes)×1
…and a kuub and a woollen cap×0.5

Below 35 you're cold (blows ×0.85, jobs ×1.2), below 10 freezing (×0.6, ×1.5). See the warmth guide.
