frame sawnormal20 öreA frame saw: a thin iron blade held taut in a wooden frame by a twisted cord. On a sawhorse it cuts a log into three planks.
smith’s hammernormal8 öreA smith’s hammer with a square iron face. At the anvil, beside a lit forge, it works iron into tools.

Materials

logbulky—Spruce logs with the bark still on. Four make a course of log wall (hold Z for what they make). Click them with an axe to split one into 2 planks; right-click to split it into 3 pieces of firewood.
plankbulky—Rough planks split from a log. Hold Z for what they make: floors, doors and furniture.
piece of firewoodnormal—Split firewood. Click open ground with two pieces to lay a campfire; click a fire or a stove to feed it. The steward buys it too.
fieldstonenormal—A grey granite fieldstone, cleared from a field or levered out of a wall. Six build a stove, four a grindstone (hold Z).
anvilhuge40 öreAn iron anvil on its oak block, heavy enough to need both arms. Set it down (hold Z) beside a forge to make a smithy.
piece of scrap ironsmall—Broken iron. A smith can weld it back into bar iron.

Locks and restraints

locksmall12 öreAn iron box lock made by the manor smith, sold with its one key. Click your own door, chest or crate with it to fit it; then the key locks and unlocks it.
keytiny—An iron key with its bit cut to fit one lock. Click the lock’s door, chest or crate with it to lock or unlock it.
length of ropesmall3 öreA coil of bast rope. Click someone with it to tie their hands (quicker if they are down or held fast). They can work it loose with B in half a minute.
pair of shacklessmall15 öreIron hand-shackles joined by a short chain, the bailiff’s tool. Click someone with them to shackle their hands; getting out takes a long time.
